维特根斯坦的 Tractatus Logico-philosophicus 最後第二段:
6.54 My propositions are elucidatory in this way: he who understands me finally recognizes them as senseless, when he has climbed out through them, on them, over them. (He must so to speak throw away the ladder, after he has climbed up on it.) He must surmount these propositions; then he sees the world rightly.
7 Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.
Wittgenstein 在 Tractatus 說形而上的哲學問題,一但你了解語言的限度,應消失。所有形而上問題都源由語言的濫用,被語言誘惑說出不是問題的問題。但,說這些已超出 Wittgenstein 給語言所能表達的範圍,所以這些 propositions 本身就是 senseless。它們的用處是幫助你爬到可以“正確眼光看世界”的梯子。爬上,梯子就可丟了。

然後,你不能說的,就應安靜。(或,I’ve said my peace, you can all shut up now)
我最近覺得訓練也是如此:一但一些基本的概念認識透徹,你應該把它們丟在一邊(像把爬上的梯子踢開)。你的訓練不應被一大堆術語或理論混亂,你的基本概念不應被一些似是而非的名辭迷惑,如 Read the rest of this entry »
