Back to my roots (2)
Hey, this is my time to be back home for a while and catch up with family, friends and the roads where I started pedalling many years ago.

It was also the time to show off my Cinelli-Ritchey jersey and shorts around Europe. I can tell many riders on the road like our colors, when you put some many well respected brands in a team, you get respect on the road!
I went back to the Basque country for a week, and was able to do a few of my favourite rides there. It is a challenging terrain, always up and down though small villages and farms looping back home along the coast.
I usually ride on the French side of the Basque country, it is very convenient as my parents live right on the border. The roads there are smaller and find less cars on them. It is very green, and most days clouds come and go in the sky, it can always rain or shine. The temperature was mild, around 20 degrees, a nice break from the hot summer in Taizhong!
Whatever loop I ride, the best is to finish it ridng back along the “corniche”, the road along the coast. The stretch between St.Jean de Luz and Hondarribia is beautiful, you can see beaches, small fishing harbours, cliffs and sea inlets. The road is never flat, always up and down and often swept by the wind, it is good training.
There are a few other rides I want to do before going back to Taiwan, I think they will be good training for the upcoming races in Oct.&Nov., see you there!
