Rick 和一家人上週六早 5am 從美國回台。9am 到台中家。11am 趕到大甲參加捷安特盃。。。

My journey began on Thursday noon in Northern California USA with a 7 hour car drive to drop off family and head to the airport for a 1:00am flight back to Taiwan. With 3 adults and 2 kids, that car was full of luggage! The flight was just over 12 hours landing in TPE 5:00 am on Saturday. A bus then taxi ride back to Taichung was next, arriving by 9:00am. Shower, food, gear and tool grab I was out the door around 10:30am in my car headed to Dajia.

This man earned some bragging rights last Saturday. Jet lag? What jet lag?

Over 11,000 kilometers later, I’m on the startline of the Giant Cup for the minimal 4 lap circuit race. It took me some time to adjust to the hot and humid day. The pack was pretty stable most of the race after a break got away on the first lap. I tried a couple of attacks late on the 2nd lap to no avail. All went well until the finishing run with the traditional crash prior to the finish line. Jay, Ray and I all avoided falling, thank goodness. I had a great time. No better way to kick jet-lag in the a**! It was well worth the effort to make the race. Special thanks to Xiaoyu and Tim for the fine support!

TMV 隊員英傑的第二場聯賽就參加菁英組。Jay found himself hanging withe the elites in his only second Club Series Race. Good job finishing the race in one piece.
