Huadong came, and we were able to put to test weeks of training and preparation. Despite the results not being as spectacular as the previous edition, Team Fuji Taiwan proved to be The Team. On the road and outside the race.

The Team because of great support of our assistant team and our sponsors. Having such great support really helps racing to the maximum and giving all you have.

It all begins 2-3 hours prior to the race start, when the whole team has breakfast together, talks about strategy and how everyone is feeling. We are all friends, but we are all very focused on the race, this is really a team.

The bikes are clean and well dialed, racing wheels well trued, tubulars well glued and the bottles filled and ready to be taken. Plenty of energetic food for the race and the radios set-up for communication between team riders and team cars. The team jerseys fresh and clean, and the legs warm after a roller spin and oil massage. For the rider is only a matter of relaxing, concentrating and when the race is on, push to the max. Thanks a lot again to Vicky and Marco, Annie and Shao Yue.

We have been at the front the whole two days, pulling from the peloton to chase, attacking and blocking, breaking away. I cannot think of any other team that has worked better together.

Same thing, it is great to finish the race and have the team support for water and clean clothes. It has been a hard day on the road and being given this basic things feels so good. It is now the time to talk about the race, finally relax and think about what went right and what went wrong. But the best is the good team atmosphere, we all love racing and being at races!

Now come several weeks of racing every weekend, the race season is on and is time for the real deal after so much training. There are more challenging courses and races ahead, we will soon prove our strength and put everyone to suffer behind us. But it is going to be so much fun and so great to share more time with the team and travel around this beautiful country. Go TFT go!
