寒假在這週二正式結束 , 新的一個學期隨之而來 . 最近剛好收到兵役體檢的通知 , 我必須到台北的萬芳醫院檢查 , 所以週五一早就搭車回家 , 下午到醫院報到 . 我和一大堆大學生手拿通知單和證件排隊報到 , 換上相同的衣服 , 做一樣的事 .
週末的台北 , 充滿了夏天般的氣息 , 和氣象預報的多雲偶陣雨大相逕庭 .
週六我參加了新店四季車隊的團隊訓練 . 他們也正在為花東賽打基礎 , 安排了長距離的行程 . 這天騎106縣道到台北縣平溪 , 然後再到雙溪休息 , 之後折返 . 恰巧單車風雲車隊的團練也是相同內容 , 就這樣兩支車隊集結在一起 , 將近30人 , 還真是龐大 .四季的訓練模式和我們隊有些像 , 一開始會有一段熱身 , 在較長沒路障的路段會一起輪車 , 到休息點也不會停留太長 , 此外 , 我發現有許多四季的隊員都有在用Power Tap的功率計在訓練 , 這算是四季車隊一項特色吧 ! 這次除了和認識的車手有些交談之外 , 也多認識了幾個人 . 他們都相當的友善 , 這對我這個新朋友來說不會有種陌生感 .

農曆新年到 , Team Cinelli Ritchey 也在初三(2/16)晚上到埔里團圓 . 大家都不約而同地在6點左右到達埔里鎮寶 , 一起享用晚餐 . Rick的家人 , 還有Inigo的女朋友Ellen也都一起來 , 這頓晚餐顯得十分地熱鬧 . 半年不見 , Olive 和 Kai Kai也都長大了許多 , 上次看到Kai Kai還只會爬 , 現在卻是走來走去到處探索 , 他的驚叫聲讓我難忘 .
這幾天我們都伴隨著雨聲入睡 , 總是期待起床的那一刻 , 雨聲即止 . 不過第一天(2/17)的訓練卻不是那麼理想 . 出發沒多久 , 就下起雨來 , 一路上我們體會到在寒冷的大雨中騎車是多麼的艱難 : 濕滑的路面控車不易 , 身體漸漸失溫 , 視線不佳 , 甚至手凍僵沒辦法操控好變速把手 . (不禁讓我們想到以前在雨中比賽的畫面 : 去年花東的第一天 , 6月武嶺的登山賽 .) 短短3小時的訓練 , 十分的精簡 , 我們也平安的回到訓練基地 .

We had our customary Chinese New Year Training camp in Puli the last three days.
We got a six-hour window of no rain on second day. Wow. Heaven.
We wanted to do some quality k’s to top off the base we’ve been building this winter. The extended vacation was also pretty much the only days during the year that our families and friends can spend quality time together without the stress of racing or racing around. It was an excellent excuse to cook up some quality food. And put the espresso machine to some quality use.

The points racked up for Team Cinelli Ritchey in the National Series Races last year.
E30:
Tim – 41pts. – 4th Place
Inigo – 37pts. – 7th Place
E40:
Rick – 69pts. – 2nd Place
RM20:
Ray – 32pts. – 4th Place
In Elite team standings – 128pts. – 9th Place
However this doesn’t seem to add up. We should have accumulated 147pts. in Elite which would put us in 7th place, one point ahead of Specialized. Anyone care to follow-up on this?

Schwalbe 2010 年將贊助台灣 Team Cinelli Ritchey 車隊。TCR 會使用 Durano open 胎和內胎作訓練。比賽時我們會用 Durano Tubular 管胎。
Team Cinelli Ritchey will be sponsored by Schwalbe in 2010. TCR will be using the ultra durable Durano clinchers and tubes during training and the top-end Durano tubulars during races. We are really excited that Schwalbe will be joining TCR, and can’t wait to mount the Duranos on our new Ritchey wheels! A not so ghoulish day in Dajia (hint… it’s Halloween), cool breeze, bright but not too sunny or hot. Team CR was looking sharp in top shelf kit and equipment. No matter, it was my little kids that gained most attention! We rode a warm up lap, prepared for the start. Delayed! .. and worse, only 3 laps instead of 4. Wait some more. Warm-up was long gone, time for a nap, or some lunch. Finally racing, and predictably fast.
