This year we are using the new Ritchey WCS Zeta wheels for training and some races. When the races are in wet, rainy conditions and have many downhills, we go for the convenience and superior braking of aluminum wheels, instead of carbon rims.
Last Sunday we raced at Wuling, Hehuan Shan. In wet conditions and having a steep 40km downhill on the way back home after race, the Zetas were the best option. Coupled with Schwalbe Durano tires is a great combination for training and racing.

This year Team Cinelli-Ritchey is using Schwalbe Durano tires and tubulars. These are very high quality tires from the prestigeous German brand. Tires are a very important piece of equipment for racing, since it is our contact material with the road, it means we are looking for good grip, low resistance, high durability, puncture protection and light weight. It seems difficult to achieve all points, but Schwalbe tires and tubulars do, therefore become our choice.

我的 Strato 騎了快三個禮拜。
除了 Strato 的外形圖裝與去年的 Pro Estrada 隊車有很明顯的不同外，在拿到 Strato 前我並不期待它的騎程特性和 Pro Estrada 會有太大差異。甚至 Cinelli 總裁 Paolo 上次來單模親自解釋這兩款車的差別對我都沒有產生太大的 impression.
我很難想像 Pro Estrada 有什麼可更好的：對我來說，它的剛性足足有餘，操控又比之前的車精準多了，又夠輕。。。
我只能承認我的想像力有限！Strato 是個 completely different beast!

Xmas in March? 今天第一批隊車從意大利到單模。箱子上的標簽印著 “Team, Urgent”。有三部 TCR 的 Strato 和一部 TMV 的 Best Of.
這批 Strato 是台灣的第一批。
Strato 是 Cinelli 今年最頂級的 super frame （小玉叫 Strato 超人車). 我們開箱後，實際看到她，才知道她有多美。也看到 Strato 和我們目前用的 Pro Estrada 有很大的不同。Pro Estrada 主要還是用圓型管。Strato 大部份用的是方，菱管。我們看 (流口水) 了好幾個月照片看不出來。
我們本來只提出 Best of 和 Pro Estrada 的贊助要求, maybe one Strato。但 Cinelli 的 Fabrizio 說：我們要看到全隊騎 Strato。我們說 OK, 沒問題。
我們愛騎車，也在我們的能力範圍內很認真的騎車。我們每年都能騎到很好的車。但今年，it’s something else。我每次拿到新車的時後都告訴小玉說，yeah, 它是讓我達到目的的工具。但我很難 convince 自己我的 Strato 只是 “讓我達到目的的工具”。

力馬科技是 Team Cinelli Ritchey 2009 和 2010 年的贊助伙伴之一。也許它沒有我們其它的贊助商那麼赫赫有名，但力馬的潤滑油，清潔用品我們是保持隊車的狀況在 fighting trim 的利器。力馬是台中本地的一個廠商，其實他們主要的客人是高科技廠，商品是 high-tech 製造機器的軸程潤滑品。所以可想而知力馬的產品技術要求是比一般自行車用品要高很多。力馬的李大哥會做自行車用產品完全是因為個人興趣，加上本身對這方面的執著（要用就要用最好的）。Anyways, 力馬的產品市價並不便宜，包裝也不起眼，但力馬的東西是我們目前用過最好的， bar none.

Schwalbe 2010 年將贊助台灣 Team Cinelli Ritchey 車隊。TCR 會使用 Durano open 胎和內胎作訓練。比賽時我們會用 Durano Tubular 管胎。
Team Cinelli Ritchey will be sponsored by Schwalbe in 2010. TCR will be using the ultra durable Durano clinchers and tubes during training and the top-end Durano tubulars during races. Today we raced the 7th and last race of the Nacional Cycling Club Series to close the 2009 season, and Team Cinelli Ritchey had another success with podium placements in all categories!
Ray was 1st! in RM20, Inigo was 5th and Tim 8th in Elite30 and Rick was 4th in Elite40.
Team Cinelli Ritchey was 3rd in Team classification!

學校一放暑假我就從台中回到了台北家裡 , 生活很簡單 : 騎車 , 看書 , 參與教會活動 , 和家人或朋友相聚 , 還有 … 看環法 !
印象中去年的環法賽我有看沒有懂 , 只是很單純的看誰贏了單站 , 黃衫綠衫白衫紅點衫穿在誰身上 , 那一支車隊的隊服車子最好看 . 而今年總算又更知道要怎麼 “閱讀” 環法賽 (+環義) , Cyclingnews 和 Velonews 幫了很多忙 ! 但 … 一個人看總有些無聊 , 似乎看比賽也是講究團隊的 ?

2000 年重新騎車和輝哥買了一台叫坦克的車，03年的那一部只騎半年然後在加州被撞壞的 Cervelo，還有我自己的 Waterford，我這八，九年來沒有花錢買過一部車，但幸運的是每年都不愁沒有車騎，而且是每年換車，甚至每半年換一次。
所以每年換新的隊車好像就不是什麼 special occasion。換車已不再讓我覺得特別興奮的。用來訓練比賽的車只不過是用來操的工具。
就算如此，今年 Cinelli 確定要贊助隊上時，我的心還是跳快了一點。。。

There are many bikes in the market, sometimes is hard to know where to start from. Thankfully, some magazines and websites can try a lot of bicycles and report what works best and what not. For 2009, the website www.bikeradar.com selected Cinelli Willin’ as one of the best 7 bicycles in the market, amongst a total of 37 tested bikes.
